The True Lux Hybrid combines a 2-year waterproof knit upper with a leather stability saddle, creating a sophisticated and classic golf aesthetic. The addition of the leather saddle not only enhances the overall look but also provides a more customizable fit and increased mid-foot stability. These shoes exude an athletic aesthetic that seamlessly transitions from the golf course to everyday wear. One additional feature that many golfers will love is the wide toe box allowing your feet to avoid that pinched feeling that so many golf shoes do!
Performance Review:
True to its TOUR performance claim, the Lux Hybrid boasts several features geared towards enhancing performance. The new Achilles heel pad, TPU heel stabilizer, and high retention elastic heel lock system work in unison to provide an elevated and stable fit. The upgraded insert and Wanderlux® midsole compound further contribute to the overall comfort and support, making these shoes some of the highest quality in True Linkswear's lineup. We tested these over a 9 month timeframe and found that these are among some of the most comfortable shoes to wear all day including back to back 36 hole days at Sand Valley and a 36 Hole US Amateur qualifier. Post round we experienced no foot soreness and were able to walk right into the bar comfortably with these on! Overall a great shoe for most golfers under most conditions however we did find a few things that we think need improvement to see them on more elite players feet. The first thing we noticed was that while they are waterproof the waterproof knit upper didn't hold up well in long rough even to heavy dew... Don't miss the fairways in wet conditions and especially avoid heather as that sometimes ends up in wet feet. Additionally I don't think these are the best shoes for lateral support. We sometimes found that swinging hard or having an awkward uneven stance we were a little more off balance then some of the other leading shoes you would find on tour and elite players feet. The last thing to point out is if you have really narrow feet these aren't for you but if you are looking at any True shoe we highly doubt you are here because you have narrow feet!
Durability and Functionality:
The addition of an easy-to-clean TPU mud guard ensures that the True Lux Hybrid remains in pristine condition even after challenging rounds. The TOUR tested tread provides reliable traction, delivering confidence with every swing. The transitional drop of approximately 6 mm offers a natural fit, catering to golfers who appreciate both style and functionality in their footwear. These have some of the most durable shoes over 25 plus years of playing golf, the mud guard really does work and all you need to do is scrub the it and the shoes hardly show any wear and tear. We have been caught wearing this into the bar often after the round, tailgating and even out to dinner!

Overall we would give these shoes an 8.1/10 and find that most golfers will absolutely love these especially if they are looking for versatility to go from on the course to off the course where they really are a leader in that category hence the reason we called it the ultimate golf trip shoe! If you could only bring one pair of shoes on a golf trip this is the one for its functionality and looks.
